Dear parents,
We hope that this is finding you and your loved ones well and healthy.
We would love to launch a little initiative amongst the lila group, who is currently deprived of its collective home, and of the joy of simply being together.
Our daughter Ada misses her school and your children very much so we tried to find a way to somehow allow her to be with them... remotely.
We open here a collective diary of an unexpected vacation. A little platform that allows our kids to share and enjoy some of the things they do at home, away from eachother... something they can flip through when they’re bored, something where they can see images of eachother, and something they can feed and feed and feed...
Having very recently started to write, Ada has brought home from school a few booklets, with one letter on each page and a little drawing she made of something starting by the corresponding letter (or sound.)
e is for elephants
f is for fish
etc...
This gave us the idea to build a giant, plural and multilingual ABC to structure and navigate through all the drawings, words, bricolages, photos, songs, recordings, videos, findings, or whatever else homemade material that our children will want to share...
Please send us your kid’s contributions by email, and just let us know (when it isn’t obvious!) which letter the work should be sorted under... A can of course also stand for Ada, etc.
Siblings are most welcome to join in if they wish. We will upload the contributions daily and send you an email once in a while to keep you posted.
We have no idea what to expect but are curious to see how this little project evolves, and Ada is even more curious to see what everyone is up to.
This is all pretty experimental and your inputs and suggestions are very welcome. Also as we’re not web programmers and have put this platform online very quickly, let us know if it bugs!
With Love from Home,
Aude and Patrick.
Ps: we will only use the children’s first names, and unless specified otherwise, we assume that you allow us to upload the things you send us, on this website.
Pps: should your child use an ipad alone, click here for an easy way to restrict the access to a single website (or a few chosen ones only).
